The Regional Adult Education Network is one of the Technical Assistance Centers coordinated through the State Education Department. .Technical Assistance Centers are designed to work with specific segments of learners in the state. The Regional Adult Education Network provides professional development, technical assistance and acts as a liaison between adult education providers and the Office of Adult Education and Workforce Development.
The Regional Adult Education Network Capital North Region is sponsored by The Research Foundation, University at Albany, School of Education. The primary source of funding is the Workforce Investment Act Title II funds. The Network works to provide training and professional development that assists educators in providing academic, employment and supports to enable adult learners to achieve educational, employment and family outcomes.
Professional Development and training is based on regional needs with input provided by the School of Education, Advisory Groups and Program Mangers. Training announcements, research, information and training opportunities are announced via email lists and the website.
